A Fairytale

The One I Built

a land i will one day find

As a kid I would think of a different world, a place where young kids go,

Where there really are no limits, and NOBODY, says "no".

You can be whomever you want to, and dream whatever you wish,

There are dragons, and fairies, and deep in the lake, there's even some talking fish!

Although, I think that they prefer "mermaids", a species, so odd yet so sweet,

If you are lost and in need of direction, they guide you, even without feet.

There is magic in every kingdom, and evil has yet to win,

There's forgiveness in every person, for when you confess a sin.

There are castles, and forests, bigger than giants, that I wish to one day explore,

And every day I will have a new quest, that will magically appear at my door.

I'll fight off evil with my friends in the wild, I'll sing with the birds and the bees,

I will have tea with my favourite bunny, and then run and play under the trees.

In this world, I won't have to worry, everything I dream of, will be there,

I'll be singing and dancing for a lifetime, without a single care.

Before, I would dream of stars that would lighten up the night,

I would dream of fairytales, magic, myths beyond our sight.

I would dream of happy endings, love, all of things, which can be true,

But the good thing about this world I built, I won't need to dream, just DO.
