A Drop

An Ocean of Thoughts

There’s a storm of people

A river of souls

An ocean of thoughts

And I’m just a drop

No one sees me

I’m not important

I’m just a piece of the puzzle

Not the picture

No one sees my picture

No one cares about my art

My sound

They don’t notice I’m here

I’m just another person

Living and breathing

Functioning like a gear in a machine

Only there to help others

But if I break

If I snap

Will it matter

Yes?

It will

Why?

Not because I was important

But because people needed me

Not wanted me

But needed

But if I go

If I’m that gear that breaks

There will always be a new one

If I’m that drop of water

Amongst a storm

People know that more will come

If I disperse

If I scream

No one will here me

Because there will always be someone screaming louder

I’m alone in this
