A Child

Alone

As I sit in silence

Alone in this world

Feeling broken

And used

My heart no longer warm towards others

My heart only open for my kids

He used me

No respect

It’s the unspoken truth

Left in ruins

To dwell in the struggle I now posses

His mother dreamed me a whore

Hours after I gave birth

He questioned if the child was his

No forgiveness given

No apologies said to me

Yet he wants half the right to her

You assumed I was a harlot

You thought I would cheat

Now I sit in silence

All alone

Broken and used

You once were my friend

But that’s forever gone

You just don’t realize it yet

My world forever changed

One month after birth

I had to get a job

I still suffer

My back kills me everyday

My head ready to explode

But you don’t care

You were rude to my mom

When she told you hi

You ignored her

My blood shed means nothing to you

Because you got what you wanted

A child
