A Change of Heart

A Letter to an Old Friend

pouring one out for the homie (they not dead tho)

We met about a year ago

You were the cutest little thing

We became friends in a coffee shop

I used to tell about my dreams

I let you in

Yea

And I don’t do that a lot

Yet somehow you were in my

Circle

I trusted you like a Cooties shot

They say everything happens for a reason

I think you were my guide back to

God

Although you worship him differently

We crossed paths

And I’ll forever think it’s odd

With you

He reminded me of

The beauties that come with faith and modesty

When we talked about innocence

I felt like I was losing that part of me

All in all

I’m grateful for the reminders

Of all the things I missed most about life

But right now

It feels like our times up

Like our chapter is coming to an end

But I hope you know I’ll always love you

You’ll forever be considered

A friend
