A Busy Life

This is a poem relating how we all get busy, often doing nothing and have no time to do what we really want to.

Life soars through our journey

Taking every moment of our time

What habits take hold and worry

Our minds full from day to night

Our stressed filled bodies wain daily

No respite from what we sorely need

How long can we sustain this call

What succor to lengthen our lead

How long before we take the fall

We seek relief, a forced rest

Make us feel anew at present

But this is not to endure or last

Our demise is just at its crescent

As we speedily sink to our own abyss

We wonder how did this happen

What went wrong, what went amiss

Often we see past the disturbance

Not giving it proper thought

Lost in our own circumstance

And taking time to pause
