A Brave Launch

To Suspend Consciousness

A little space

(I thought)

Should have kept night and day

Pretty accurate.

Both swim out of sight

To some further point,

Take present order and

Diligently obscures the darkness

In the wake of the familiarly known pulse.

There are occasions

When these deep, observed hours

Go two hundred miles.

Present assures us

The chase

Became swift motion of the heart.

This brave launch

Leaves dust

Behind.

There was now

The mad fiend,

The frenzies of the chase,

Pale fears and

Growing awe.
