A Book Worth a Character

A Poem

Skimming pages of a book

Once read by you

Still wanting you back

My mind skims past the fact

You betrayed & left

Me to have lonesome be my lover

& a knife full of your poisonous ink

Write all over my body

With paper thin skin

But cigarette burns be the thing you

Engraved me

I still ask the question why I love you

But you left your mark on me

So let love be our novel

& hate be our romance to a fictional

End that we can't deserve to one another

You may write me as a fictional character to

A dying imagination

But your just a heartless creator to my world that's filled with the extent of a pen full of ideas

Rip my pages out one by one

Destroying a hateful, dreadful masterpiece

To a good end

Burn my pages getting rid of any idea that you're a false writer & it amuses me to think those pages you had aren't yours anymore

Bc I have the power now to change a future

A future worth writing for
