8 Letters

A Poem

I love you has 8 Letters...

But Baby so does Bullshit.

So be prepared when you speak to me...

For I am a man who knows it well.

Those precious 8 Letters...

Can we ever forget them?

As time slips away...

With another passing day...

Many live to regret them.

Experience dragged me from my pinnacle...

Now some may say I'm cynical.

I think I’m simply logical...

So we’ll agree to disagree.

I love you has 8 letters...

But Baby so does Bullshit.

So beware that I’m aware...

It’s in your interests not to forget it.

Riding so high you close your eyes.

Yet question why, when the lie is swallowed.

When you say goodbye the hurt falls from your eye...

You wonder why you tried & grow wise in tomorrow.

I love you has 8 Letters...

But Baby so does bullshit.

So when you look me in the eye know that I’m aware of it.

I love you has 8 Letters...

But Baby so does Bullshit.

I’ve lived, I’ve learned & the page has turned.

Know that I am aware of it.
