50 Shades of Me...

A Poem

I guess there are at least 50 Shades Of Me.

Although many of you will never truly see.

As a book should never be judged by its cover...

We should never judge until we truly know one another.

As you peel off the layers, delve within.

There’s a very complex story about to begin.

A tale worthy of being sold...

I’m willing to tell if you’re willing to be told.

As a tsunami engulfs the deep dark sea.

These 50 Shades entrap me.

Lying beneath the deep sea bed...

Are the answers to the questions...

That you have in your head.

If you have forever then maybe one day you’ll see...

For it will take an eternity to get to know me.

So if you’re ready? I’m willing...I think that I’m able.

Help me to lay my guarded cards down on the table.

Help me peel off the layers, so I can lighten the grey.

Paint an aura of colour with the sentences I say.

See why I masquerade...why I need to hide.

Why I need to be held, why through my words I confide.

Why I'm only sure that I'm insecure...

Why is it now when I wasn’t before?

As a tsunami engulfs the deep dark sea.

These 50 Shades entrap me.

Lying beneath the deep sea bed...

Are the answers to the questions...

That you have in your head.

If you have forever then maybe one day you’ll see...

For it will take an eternity to get to know me.

When you look, look closer...

Beware for I'm not what you see.

It’s only fair that I warn you...

There are 50 shades of me.

I’m a little saint, little sinner.

Sore loser, better winner.

I can follow, prefer to lead.

I may take time but I succeed.

I’m confidently shy...

I don’t ask questions do I?

Sometimes I get lost in life’s mist...

Fall off the wagon and get pissed.

I have a hunger of the mind, a hard time to unwind.

A quest to seek and find, which leaves me kind of blind.

To a single thing in my life, there are many eggs within my basket...

I’m a kind hearted Romeo, I’m a heartless bastard.

As for muscles now they're gone, it’s my mind that has grown strong.

Which can be my own worst enemy...

You see there are 50 Shades Of Me.

As a tsunami engulfs the deep dark sea.

These 50 Shades entrap me.

Lying beneath the deep sea bed...

Are the answers to the questions...

That you have in your head.

If you have forever then maybe one day you’ll see...

For it will take an eternity to get to know me.
