A Poem

38.

Today is the day I turn 38 years old.

There were so many things it would have been nice to have been told.

But to experience is where we grow and learn.

So I am at peace with my Journey as another page turns.

Another year gone love and lost.

A treasure so priceless but not worth the cost.

Still no fear of the future as I remain alone.

Content and happy in my new home.

As I live blessed in this life I continue to evolve.

The endless questions and puzzles I attempt to solve.

And though there have been moments when I felt I might break.

I have learnt I am strong and not to forsake.

Although the world and its news portrays so much misery.

In my own little bubble there’s just Beauty and Positivity.

So I am a 38 year old man who wears a child’s eyes.

But the older I get the less I feel surprised.

The older I get the happier I am in my own skin.

I no longer sit around waiting for my life to begin.

I appreciate the wonder that continues to surround me.

I can honestly say there’s no one else I’d rather be.
