the earth looked tall and in total union,
as it stood to face the many Humans.
in the grand scheme of things, the battle was short,
and mostly consisted of dragging through court.
the Earth Left the field, without the strength to hold,
the Places that she had taken so many years to mold.
Her mass cracked down the center, making quite a rift,
in the heart of the Earth, which was now a cliff.
upon closer inspection, at the very end of the land,
sat a freckle faced child who was Reading the sand.
she was so at at ease sitting there, one foot over the edge,
until she looked over, in the eyes, so seriously and said:
"People, i ask you, why don't we Love the Earth?
After all, She gave us Existence, so... exactly what's that worth?"
