I know its been awhile since I written somethin

the devil been down my back breedin somethin

I go down the road lookin for somethin

maybe I am waitin on God to show me somethin

I've been on a quest to bring back life

to the art form that many people have forgot

the poets of the world are revolutionaries

People around here don't get that though

they listen to the people who are puttin them back in chains

instead, fillin their heads with possibilities and change

Oppressed we are

there is no fight, no martyrs, no one willing to break the mold

Instead, the ones who need to fight just break down and fold

Who is going to save us now

when we have cowards that cannot see

that the possibilities to change start with thee

and the change starts with we..... as a whole

Our minds are becoming weak

by what people do not decide to speak

The movement needs to be reborn... given life

instead of being hid and forced to die
