Within Their Eyes...

A Poem

Within Their Eyes...

When the glass feels half empty.

The Race too far to run.

When there’s no Wind to blow within my Sail.

The fight feels over before it’s begun.

When there are no Lover's arms to comfort me.

To warm me Day or Night.

I maybe Alone but I am not Lonely.

I don’t feel sad and that’s alright.

For I am surrounded by Love.

All be it not the romantic kind.

But the kind that opens my Eyes.

When I allow myself to go Blind.

There is such meaning and feeling...

That I am Blessed to have around.

Where my energy is forever raised...

To a more Higher, more Sacred Ground.

I see dear family members with smiles upon their faces.

I feel the comfort of my friends within their tight embraces.

I watch my Nephews and Nieces light up my world like a Beautiful Sunrise.

I feel and know that I am loved.

For I see it within their eyes.

Steven Baldry

I have been writing Poetry since I was a teenager. Now in my late thirties I enjoy it more than ever. I find it a wonderful release and it helps me to free my mind and understand myself and my emotions.
