Transgender Day of Remembrance

I am the one who struggles to get a job because of my identity

I am the one who is discriminated against everyday

I am the one who was born in the wrong body

And I am the one who struggles with body image everyday.

I am the one who’s family forgot about them

I am the one with constant hate for myself

I am the one who gets bullied at school

I am the one who is too scared to leave the house

I am the one who is scared to pee in public

I am transgender and I am me.

Everyday there are transgender people all over the world struggling with their body. Almost half of all transgender pupils in the UK have killed themselves, or considered Suicide. There are trans people being murdered, discriminated against and beaten. Let’s raise awareness for these issues before it’s too late.
