The Rain Sang. The Grass Drowned.

Personification

Personification poem

The sky cried all night long

Passing slowly along the clouds groaned.

Water came freely from those dark grey clouds,

The rain sang all throughout the night.

Shining from a distance a rainbow blushed,

Shouting the hail came smashing down.

The grass drowned,

The windows tensed,

And the playgrounds danced.

It was raining upon us.

Reduce the repetition of “groaning clouds” and “dark grey clouds”

The sky cried,

The clouds groaned,

Water came freely,

The rain sang,

A rainbow blushed.

Hail came shouting

And smashing down.

The grass drowned,

The windows tensed,

And the playgrounds danced.

All because it was raining upon us.

Go from the negative things to the positive things, it's not actually a storm in weather but a storm in life. “You have to stand in the rain to see the rainbow”

The sky cried,

clouds groaned.

Hail came shouting

and smashing down.

The grass drowned.

windows tensed.

It was raining upon us.

Water came freely.

The rain sang.

A rainbow blushed

and playgrounds danced

through the storm.
