Symphony of Midnight

Nocturnal

I've become completely nocturnal

The night throws tired shadows on my shoulder

As I walk the yellow-lighted paths of the park

It's quiet here, eerily so

It's such a loud, bustling place in daylight hours

I hear owls and crickets

And other night-creatures

A dark symphony of midnight

My footfalls, rhythmic on the asphalt

Keep beat with their music

The music the world misses

As they sleep

I prefer this time

When the world has slowed

When the sky grows dark and rich

And sprinkled with glittered stars

The moon is my companion

She shines down in pale brilliance

She lights my path

When she is pregnant

With luminescence

She is the mother of the night

The stars are her children

And I like to think

That I am her friend

About the Creator

A. R. Ambrosi

I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!

I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
