I
Earth groans,
A monster's sound
From below
As humans watch channels
Flicker, flicker
As light goes.
Rain?
Not yet.
A dull sky
Erased
By angered hands.
In these times,
They find
The need for sun,
Need for warmth
Need for color,
A dire wish.
II
A red rose
In a pot
Nature
Nurtured by nature
Childlike wonder
Stares through pedals
Up, up, up
Seen from below,
Red against gray
Earthly love,
Against pale gray
God anger.
III
A yellow butterfly: Wings flutter
With wind
Pushing, pushing.
Sending a life
Off course,
Or they think.
Watchers whisper,
Commenting beauty,
Brightness among
A storm cloud Sky.
Beauty flying,
Soaring,
Off course,
Or they think?
Wind takes,
Wind gives—
Creates difference,
Cuts old Separating.
Beauty Is beauty
In yellow movements
Brightness against storm.
No matter the course.
