Skinny Bitch

They call her Mia.

Her lips are chapped

Cracked and dry

From the constant abuse

She puts herself through

She licks them, only making it worse

She's trying to resist

But she never lasts long

Her knuckles are red and swollen

Bruised and scraped

Her teeth have grazed them

Bitten them

Too many times

Some reflexes are too strong

But some urges are stronger

She gives in to Mia

That skinny bitch

All her hopes and dreams

And insecurities

Personified

That unattainable perfection

She longs to achieve

That emptiness, that lightness

Like air

But those urges

That gnawing hunger

Her stomach rumbles

A low growl of warning

She tries to resist

But the impulse takes over

She takes until she's had enough

She takes until she's had too much

She takes more until she's numb

Then there's guilt

Revulsion

Another urge takes over

Get rid of it

Mia says

And she does

Her lips crack open and bleed

Her teeth scrape her knuckles

And they bleed, too

She continues this way

Until her eyes water

Tears obscuring her view

And her throat burns

And aches

Anything to get rid of it

Anything to be like Mia

Anything to be that

Skinny bitch
