you have left me
a littered mess of petals
stomped on
torn apart
scattered across the room
ripped from my original stems
and strewn away like trash
but honey
you are the epitome of trash
these petals
these peals were delicately grown
watered on a daily basis
they took a while to bloom
during harsh winters, I feared they would never surface
but here they are
a mess of blue, pink, yellow, purple, orange, green, and white
a beautiful mess sprawled out in front of you
and those stems you ripped me from
I hope your blood stains their green beauty
because they have thorns
and they're meant to protect
