My Muse
You make my heart go crazy.
It was many years ago when we first met,
Doing strange things most people wouldn’t get.
Estranged, I was, never mattered to you,
For you were a little awkward too.
No longer alone, we always got along,
Walking together, listening to the same songs.
Fallen I have, but to no surprise,
For her long dark hair, and pretty green eyes.
A caring persona, in a body so fine,
At this moment, I wished you to be mine.
I couldn’t think of anyone better to choose,
For that day, I have met My Muse.
As the years went by, we strayed apart,
I tried so hard not to take it to heart.
You had your friends, and I had my own,
Whether I’d see you again was still unknown.
To pass you by with a nervous glance,
And walk on forward, stuck in a trance.
This sickened stomach and pain in my chest,
Explosive I am, plagued and depressed.
Until you return to extinguish the fuse,
I shall wait for you, My Muse.
Later down the line, were back in touch,
Worlds reuniting, catching up and such.
The times you’ve gone through, oh so rough,
Your elders refused you, I’ve heard enough.
Stole you away from their grasp, I did,
And when they came looking, we hid.
Anywhere and anytime, day or night,
I’ll rescue you from any blight.
I’ll be your knight in shining armor,
That day I decided—None shall harm her.
Closer now than ever before,
Affections arising, I crave more.
