Love of a Mother

A Poem

She woke me in the morning, and tucked me in at night, she read me bedtime stories, when I did wrong she made it right. She was my taxi, my chef and protector and so much more, I wouldn't trade her for any price, and looking back now, I wish that I had always followed her advice.

The love of a mother, is one that is unending, like a river always flowing, or a tree that's never bending. She's the one who gave me life, gave me shelter and courage to face my future. As long as I live, I'll never forget, the love of my mother.

My life was never easy, sometimes it felt like hell, but mom was always there to pick me up every time I fell. Her strength was always greater than any hero in a book, she had a laugh that was contagious and an embrace warmer than a Chinook.

The love of a mother, is one that is unending, like a river always flowing, or a tree that's never bending. She's the one who gave me life, gave me shelter and courage to face my future. As long as I live, I'll never forget, the love of my mother.

Now I'm getting older and I look back at my past, I wish that time had slowed down, and didn't go so fast. I wish that I could take back all the mean things that I said, hug her every single day and say more "I love yous'" instead. I will always be her baby, even when I'm old and grey, and even when my mother is gone, she'll never go away.

The love of a mother, is one that is unending, like a river always flowing, or a tree that's never bending. She's the one who gave me shelter and courage to face my future. As long as I live, I'll never forget, the love of my mother.
