mornings like these
beach cuddles with the
sun barely up
stars still hanging on in
the pale light of
dawn
while the world awakens around us
when we are so insignificant that we can
sit in each other's arms forever
and just be
fingers lightly pressed in hair
eyes barely open
when I think a love life
when I'm glad I'm alive
when consciousness doesn't seep fear
when life is good
and sweet and
pure
foreheads tucked safely
in the crooks of necks
when hearts beat slowly
and the waves crashing on the shore
are barely noticeable
when time slows
and life is good
when a moment happens
when life feels infinite
