Goodbye
We can change the world, but does the world want to?

Goodbye to the boy I used to know;
Once, viewing the world through lenses of naivety,
Growing up has taught him that life is fleeting, yet gorgeously aware.
Continuing a fight to no avail,
Thinking why the world sees beauty in their knavery.
Existence holds no secrets, no surprises,
It's mundane and abstractly plain with violence and false hope;
These lessons brought forth coldness and misbelief,
While looking out into the reflection of the frantic and frenzied culture,
So say hello to the new me, the weathered warrior trying to cope.
