Do You Remember That I Love You?

A Poem of Long-Distance Love

Do you remember that I love you?

When I'm angry and sad and apathetic.

When the ghost over my shoulder tells me you don't care

When I listen to that ghost instead of the words from your mouth?

Do you remember that I love you?

When I'm morbid and useless and lame.

When I'm rolling my head around, wishing for inspiration

When I want to do everything and nothing and choose nothing?

Do you remember that I love you?

When I stare at the ceiling at night.

When we're 453 miles away and you're sound asleep and you've

--found your career and I'm still posting bad designs on Zazzle?

Do you remember that I love you?
