A Message in a Bottle

If I could, I would send this message in a bottle to everyone who feels alone.

We live in a world that is ever changing, expanding, and moving in all directions. We're constantly surrounded by others and given little time to unwind. So why, in a fast paced, social media embraced, crowded space do we still feel so alone?

We feel this way because loneliness isn't solely determined by our physical surroundings. There's another space, a place that isn't as fast paced; it's not crowded by the haze of everyone else, just ourselves... our mind. And in our mind we are alone with our thoughts.

Do they like me?

Do I dress correctly?

Do I know who I am and where I want to be?

If you can't see the answer to these, that's OK... I can't either.

If so many of us are fighting this war in our mind, then isn't it about time we recognize that we are not confined to this dark place. I'm not here to tell you that your experiences aren't your own, I just want you to know right now you may feel so, but you are not alone.
