I watched the horrific scenes in Las Vegas unfold,
it was a nightmare that shook the whole world.
The look in their eyes, all I see is pain,
tears went pouring like a heavy rain.
How could this happen, people tend to ask,
all I wish is for their suffering to not last.
They came to have fun and to celebrate life,
like that one man who went with his beloved wife.
Life will go on for those they left behind,
yet their memories will always be in their hearts and minds.
Fly away angels, you may all now rest in peace,
like birds in the sky, like the gentle touch of breeze.
